A place deep in the South of New Zealand - in a place called the Catlins - famous for its last remaining natural bush and southerly winds. On a good day hard to beat. The bay itself has a resident Dolphin population, and one can safely swim in the sea. The day we came through we had about 20 or less people on the beach enjoying themselves. The water temperature will be (at best) only ever be 15 degree Celsius! refreshing :)
